ACTing Now: A New Approach to the Old Techniques of Acting
by Norman B Schwartz
In this controversial book, Norman B. Schwartz suggests that many of the conventional training techniques that have come down to us from the American and British theater may not fully prepare today´s working actor for the special requirements of the marketplace where the actor is the seller asked by an agent or casting director to self-tape an audition for the buyer—a producer or director—whom the actor may never get to meet unless he or she is hired. Mr. Schwartz proposes a new method that encompasses all the previous schools of training but expands them to suggest a better way for the actor to get the job and hold on to it on-set in the real and demanding world of film, television, and commercials. Here's your chance to learn from someone who was THERE!

Return to Burke County
by RE Lewis
Based on a true story, Return to Burke County: Love, Loss, Politics, and Murder… by R. E. Lewis is based on a true story of an accidental death deep in the post-Civil War Appalachian Mountains. Roby Martin, a hard-working, responsible husband determined to protect his wife finds himself in a predicament following the murder of Cal Porter. The murder trial quickly captures the South’s attention as the morals and guilt of Ro Martin are called into question. It is a page-turning novel that will keep you engaged. While the novel, plots, and characters are fantastic, the writing is also wonderful. It is enjoyable to read and the pacing makes this book a really quick read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was constantly waiting to see what would happen next. The pictures that the author included were also fantastic. His imagery is already fantastic but adding the pictures really makes the setting.
