Those of us moved by the terrifying wildfires in California can put our sympathy to good use.

Never Counted Out, a movement launched by a novelist to empower young people through writing and the arts, has put out a call for donations — specifically, books, school supplies, or gift cards for kids.

Anything marked with “#CampFire” will be set aside for victims of that tragedy, and supporters are encouraged to use the hashtag #kidlitforcampfire on social media.

Our school is organizing a book swap and anticipate to have MANY leftover new and gently used books - both for elementary age, middle school age and some adult. Are you still accepting donations? Thank you for your response!

We have collected over a thousand books, sorted by age/grade levels, packed and ready to hand out to kids of camp fire relief. Can you help??
