A rare piece of happy news came out of California recently.

Crystal Peppas, one of the many people who lost homes in the Camp Fire, learned through a Facebook post that her Little Free Library remains standing.

Peppas’s father built the library, which she dubbed “A Reader’s Paradise,” and her husband installed it, according to ABC-10.

It’s one of very few structures that survived the flames that devastated Paradise, California; Peppas and many family members lost their homes.
