Memoir writing, by necessity, comes with certain limitations, many of which have to do with the point of view.

Sarah Chauncey, a creative nonfiction writer, editor and writing coach, recently wrote a column about the considerations a memoirist must take in this area.

In addition to advice, she offers writing exercises and recommends specific memoirs as “master classes.”
