Children's author Judith Kerr has died

Judith Kerr, a beloved children’s writer and illustrator, died yesterday at the age of ninety-five.

With over thirty books to her name, Kerr deservedly won illustrator of the year at the British Book Awards on May 13.

She began publishing in her forties, scoring a huge hit with her debut book, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, and would have celebrated another release had she lived until June.
