Some people like to exercise in silence; others prefer music; and still others need someone yelling in their ear.
If you’re among the last group, you may be interested to learn that the U.S. Army now has two audiobooks out.
To be fair, the selections aren’t drill sergeants shouting out orders to do pushups, but they are pretty official.
The audio version of Field Manual (FM) 3-0, Operations came out in June, while Army Doctrine Publication (ADP) 7-0, Training arrived last week.
The Army Times describes the former as “the document that marked the shift in the Army’s focus towards large-scale combat operations,” while the latter provides “the framework for leaders to ready soldiers and units for unified land operations.”
