1) Start with a Great Cover and Description.

5) Create a Budget for Paid Ads.
Since the competition on Amazon is so high, it’s often worth making an investment in paid advertising to get more eyes on your ebook. If you’re a first-time author, this is an especially useful tactic.
You just need to figure out how much you can spend on advertising, making sure to do thorough research on your keywords and target audience beforehand.
Once you’ve created a budget, you need to determine which type of ad you want to run. Amazon offers two options specifically for KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) authors:
