It takes a village to bring a book to fruition.

There’s of course you, the writer and creative brainchild, but there are also several key supporting players — the friends and family who believe in you, the proofreaders, the street team, possibly the cover artist (if you’ve hired one) … and the feedback providers.

Whether it’s another author, a story editor, a beta team, or any combination thereof, chances are that whoever provides pre-publication feedback on your book won’t just effusively praise your work.

Knowing that doesn’t necessarily make criticism of any level easier, though.

That’s why Christine Carron, a writer herself as well as a “Critique MD,” has shared critique-processing tips for authors; head to Anne R. Allen’s blog to see what she recommends.
