Our hearts go out to Bridgerton author Julia Quinn, whose father and sister died in a recent car crash.
Said Quinn on Facebook last Wednesday:
I have lost my father and my sister. Because a catering company did not secure their load and canvas bags spilled onto the highway. Because a pickup driver thought nothing of driving while his blood alcohol level was nearly 3 times the legal limit.
Her father, Steve Cotler, wrote the Cheesie Mack books, a series for middle-schoolers; her sister, Violet Charles, was a comic strip artist with whom Quinn had just finished writing a graphic novel.
Quinn's Regency romances about the fictional Bridgerton family inspired the hit Netflix show of the same name.
