Swedish author Karin Smirnoff is the latest person carrying on the vision of Stieg Larsson.

Larsson wrote three books in a planned series of ten; his estate appointed David Lagercrantz to continue the Millennium series, and he contributed three more novels.

And now it's Smirnoff's turn to tell the adventures of hacker Lisbeth Salander and investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist.

The Girl in the Eagle’s Talons will be released in English on August 29, but the Swedish version — Havsörnens Skrik — is already out, reports the Guardian.

It moves the series from Stockholm to northern Sweden, an area that the publisher describes as beautiful but troubled.
