Here's a roundup of news and reflections on literary adaptations.

  • Here are the most anticipated (at least according to one set of opinions) literary adaptations on TV and in the movies coming out this year (Electric Literature).

  • Take a first look at Netflix's Enola Holmes 3, starring Millie Bobby Brown as the younger sister of Sherlock Homes; the movie and its predecessor are based on a young adult book series by Nancy Springer (IGN).

  • Lupin Part 4 is also coming this fall; the series takes its inspiration from Maurice LeBlanc's "gentleman thief" Arsène Lupin (Netflix).

  • Watch the trailer for The Sheep Detectives, an animated adaptation of Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann; notable voice actors in it include Hugh Jackman, Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, and Bella Ramsey (YouTube).

  • First it was a movie; now, Stieg Larsson's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo will become a TV series (Variety).
