Authors: Amazon, give us our reviews back!

Swear that you had more reviews a few weeks ago? You’re probably not imagining it.

The Bookseller reports that many authors, bloggers, and publishers are complaining that Amazon has been pulling down reviews — or even blocking them from leaving new ones.

Amazon has blamed temporary technical issues or cited its community guidelines page, but many of the affected people aren’t buying it.

They’ve turned to Twitter to swap stories and support each other, with the hashtag #giveourreviewsback.

And one author, who wished to remain anonymous, pointed out to The Bookseller that reviews of Amazon’s publishing arm seem to be unaffected by this crackdown.
