We’ve stumbled upon a couple of legal-ish advice posts for authors in the past few days, so here’s a quick roundup.

Dave Chesson shares why he believes it’s so valuable to start a company for yourself as an author, in a guest post on Bookworks.

Leonard D. Duboff and Amanda Bryan, co-authors of the book The Law (in Plain English) for Publishers, explain the three kinds of contracts that authors should understand, in a guest post on Jane Friedman’s website.
