In a binge-consuming culture, one might assume that all series set an author up for long-term success.

Lindsay Buroker, bestselling author of almost eighty books, wants to point out an important distinction, though.

Depending on your genre, you might be better served by keeping your series episodic — where everything is mostly resolved at the end — or you might see more read-through by plotting a story arc across the multiple books.
