The editing process can be both a burden and a security blanket for writers.

Why the latter? Those with perfectionist tendencies might be nervous about having possibly missed something.

At some point, though, you have to say “good enough” and send your work out into the world.

Stefanie Flaxman, the editor in chief of Copyblogger, has a recommendation for the mental side and a checklist of five final edits to make, to help make it easier to hit publish.
