Do you toe the line, or do you believe rules are meant to be broken?

Author Addison Armstrong isn’t making any recommendations for your personal life, but for your writing life, she suggests considering characters who believe the latter — or who at least act like they do.

That’s because, whether the decision turns out to be right or wrong (or a mix of both), moral dilemmas make for interesting characters.
