Writer Beware isn’t issuing a full-on warning about Scribd’s current push to acquire backlist books.
Victoria Strauss is, however, cautioning authors to put careful thought into signing the contract (not that you wouldn’t already).
She lists questions to ask about the Scribd republishing terms, along with an invitation to authors to share their experiences with the contract — and the acknowledgment that some who have responded said they were happy with the decision.
