The long-running TV show Unsolved Mysteries is now a podcast.

And of course, that podcast includes the iconic theme song, as well as short bursts of eerie music as the mystery is previewed.

You can't help but shiver each time those notes sound.

That's why C.S. Lakin encourages writers to turn to music if they're struggling for inspiration on conveying emotion.

Not only will you be immersed in the emotion you want to evoke or describe, but you'll also be spared the mental struggle of trying to name something that's multifaceted.
