The publishing experts we follow have plenty of craft advice to offer.

Here are the ones that we thought were can't-miss for our authors:

  • How can a writer show multiple points of view without head-hopping?: No matter which point(s) of view you use in your story, the absolute most important thing to keep in mind is that the reader must not be confused — so here's advice on reaching that goal (Anne R. Allen's Blog... with Ruth Harris).

  • Story structure and the essential outline: C.S. Lakin emphasizes how important it is to have a strong foundation for your novel and refreshes your memory on the posts she’s shared over the years that will help you plan — or revise until you have — a solid story structure (Live Write Thrive).

  • Writing historical fiction with a Hubble Telescope perspective: Author Amanda West Lewis explains that whatever you're studying, be it the cosmos or an event in the past, you have to take the factors that affect your subject into consideration (Writer's Digest).

  • The snob: Becca Puglisi shares an entry in her character type and trop thesaurus on the snob (Writers Helping Writers).
