Reflections on the writing process: September 12, 2023

Sometimes when I mention the writing journey in a post, I wonder whether I'm being twee.

But then authors share what their personal experience bringing a publishable book to fruition is like, and I realize that "journey" is absolutely the appropriate word.

It isn't easy, as the authors of these two posts (and, obviously, books) observe, though it's a rewarding challenge.

Editor Jim Dempsey reflects on the ease of writing (or lack thereof) in a post for Writer Unboxed, and Lynn Alsup recounts the winding experience of writing her memoir, Tinderbox, for Women Writers, Women's Books.
