No joke: Apple has ordered a comedic series about poet Emily Dickinson.

Variety reports that Hailee Steinfeld will star in the straight-to-series show.

It’s said to be a humorous look into Dickinson’s world, exploring the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of a budding writer who doesn’t fit in to her own time.

Steinfeld is best known for her Oscar-nominated performance in True Grit at just 14 years old.

She has also appeared in Pitch Perfect 3 and Ender’s Game, among other films, and has enjoyed a successful music career.
