Tomi Adeyemi discusses her breakthrough hit

Tomi Adeyemi's debut novel, Children of Blood and Bone, took just a month to write and was snapped up by Holt in one of the biggest deals in YA history.

Adeyemi, who at 24 is drawing comparisons to J.K. Rowling, talked to Publishers Weekly about the inspiration for the novel and how Children was not an overnight success story.
