Bill Gates is giving away a copy of Factfulness by Hans Rosling to this spring’s college graduates — all of them.

The Microsoft co-founder made the announcement Tuesday in a blog post.

The offer is available to anyone who has just received an associate’s, bachelor’s, or post-graduate degree in the U.S. (Blame international publishing rights, not penny-pinching from a billionaire.)

Factfulness is available by going to Gates’s blog, Gates Notes, and either signing up or logging in, then selecting your college/university.

Gates said this about his book selection:

I hope you take Hans’s advice to heart.

“When we have a fact-based worldview,” he writes, “we can see that the world is not as bad as it seems—and we can see what we have to do to keep making it better.”

I agree. My wish for you at this special time is to learn to think, and act, factfully.

Those of us who don't belong to the class of 2018 can check out the book here.
