In honor of Father’s Day, we found a few literary lists to share.
The first list, from Huffington Post, is all good — the top ten father figures in literature.
(We bet you can predict a few of these, but there are a few surprises!)
Our next two are a little bit more mixed.
Mashable picked the most unforgettable depictions of fatherhood, because in their words, “being a dad is far more complicated (and beautiful, and terrifying, and everything else)” than the one-dimensional way it’s shown in pop culture.
And along those same lines, Shortlist has the thirty most memorable papas in literature.
That is to say, you might find a few who make you hug your own father extra-hard on the list.
No matter what, we hope you celebrate the day as you would any other holiday — in some sort of literary fashion!
