George R.R. Martin must have been relieved to do an interview about writing projects that actually have finish lines in sight.

He talked with Publishers Weekly recently about Fire & Blood, his prequel to the Song of Fire and Ice series; Nightflyers, a novella that’s being turned into a show on Syfy; and Windhaven, which is being converted into a graphic novel now.

The TV show Game of Thrones is based on the Song of Fire and Ice series, of which five novels are published, with two more promised. (But you didn’t need us to tell you that.)

Read Martin's mostly GOT-free interview here.
