Old meets new: Are serialized novels done by podcast about to be the next thing?

BookRiot contributor Annika Barranti Klein hopes so.

First her attention was caught by the upcoming novel Sadie (great title!), which is told alternately by a podcaster and the subject of the podcast.

Unsurprisingly, a complementary podcast is being produced in the lead-up to the book’s official release.

And then there’s also a combination serial novel/podcast called Dead Air, a joint venture among authors Gwenda Bond, Carrie Ryan, and Rachel Caine.
