It’s hard for us to pick our favorite part of the story about a university library’s acquisition of a book composed of American cheese.

Is it the fact that the University of Michigan spent $200 on it?

Or is it the fact that there are ten copies total of American Cheese, 20 Slices out there?

How about that the copy will be sent out for examination by classes?

So much to love about Ben Denzer’s tiny work, minus the actual medium (we prefer our cheeses a bit less shelf-stable and a bit more natural).

See photos of the work and learn about the reaction around the university on BoingBoing.
