The literary agency that represented Fight Club’s Chuck Palahniuk has filed for bankruptcy, following an embezzlement scandal.

Publishers Weekly reports that Donadio & Olson filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on December 3.

One of the firm’s two principals, Neil Olson, explained in an October 28 letter that neither the firm nor former bookkeeper Darin Webb had the resources to make amends for the crimes Webb had committed.

Webb was sentenced Monday to two years in jail for his financial crimes; Olson’s letter, to the judge in that case, was made public at that time.

Earlier this year, when Webb’s misdoings were uncovered, Palahniuk revealed that he himself was nearly broke because of the embezzlement.
