It seems fair to say that readers are always curious about where their favorite authors find inspiration.

For writer Kristen Roupenian, known for her viral short story “Cat Person,” the impetus is not so much a particular thought or idea, but rather, a feeling.

She explained more about how that process relates to "Cat Person" and the short stories in her new collection, You Know You Want This, to Lulu Garcia-Navarro on Weekend Edition.
