Good news: We have a plan for your next St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

(Or, depending on where you live, you could take this route today.)

Trinity College in Ireland is a bookworm’s paradise, with over 6 million books, manuscripts, maps, and other documents in its Old Library.

Its crown jewel would seem to be the Book of Kells, an exquisitely illuminated ninth-century gospel manuscript.

But the Old Library also boasts the Long Room, where you’ll find oak bookcases displaying 200,000 of the library’s oldest books and breathtaking architecture.

Enjoy The Wander Blogger’s photos of the Long Room, and admire the Book of Kells online to whet your appetite for a trip to the Emerald Isle!
