Gloria Vanderbilt, who died today, is well known as a fashion designer, a socialite, an heiress, and the mother of CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
She was also an author of both fiction and nonfiction — and, for a time, a book reviewer as well.
The New York Times shares a few of her notable reviews, in honor of her passing, including her commentary on Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh.
