Reviving Ophelia: Saving the Selves of Adolescent Girls made a huge splash in the years following its 1994 publication.

Now, twenty-five years later, author Mary Pipher has made some revisions and updates (with the help of her daughter Sara) in the anniversary edition.

For one reviewer, novelist Genevieve Valentine, the changes didn’t quite seem to catch it up with the times, but that doesn’t mean she advocates tossing it out with your cassette tapes and floppy disks.
