There’s no rest for Neil Gaiman, it seems — he’s now adapting his Sandman comic book series for television.

The Guardian reports that Netflix has acquired the series in what was described as a “massive” deal with Warner Bros.

Gaiman will write the first of eleven episodes; his future involvement will be less extensive than with his Good Omens series but more so than the adaptation of American Gods.

The first series will cover Preludes & Nocturnes, the first eight comics in the 75-issue-long series.

Read more about the deal and its unsuccessful predecessors in the Guardian.
