Do you think Tommy Orange is growing weary of awards yet?
We ask because yesterday he received yet another honor: the American Book Award for his novel There There.
And joining him in the acclaim was Jeffrey C. Stewart, whose Pulitzer Prize-winning The New Negro: The Life of Alain Locke also received the award.
The American Book Awards, in their fortieth year, look to honor the best of America’s diverse literary community, without setting quotas or category limitations.
You can read a complete list of winners on the website of the Before Columbus Foundation, which created the American Book Awards.
