Journalist Ronan Farrow is standing by his upcoming book, Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators, even as the subjects of his investigation deny its claims.
Farrow told NPR in an interview Friday that while he was working on his exposé of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, “no journalist who looked at this had any doubt that it was newsworthy.”
NBC News has previously said it delayed release of Farrow’s reporting out of concerns about sourcing.
However, as NPR points out in its review of Catch and Kill, many of the staffers at NBC who expressed concerns would themselves later be accused of sexual misconduct.
Catch and Kill — which reveals, in great detail, the efforts made to protect sexual predators, such as Weinstein and Matt Lauer; to halt investigations into their crimes and the cover-ups; and to further intimidate their victims — comes out Tuesday.
