Need a quick break from football, family, or food? Keep your Thanksgiving spirit strong and enjoy some literature from this week's literary birthday women.

L.M. Montgomery (born November 30, 1874), in addition to creating the beloved Anne of Green Gables series, wrote “Aunt Susanna's Thanksgiving Dinner.”

And Louisa May Alcott honored the holiday in Little MenJo's Boys and Aunt Jo's Scrap-Bag.

If you enjoy these works, take a moment to give thanks to Project Gutenberg for making them available.
