2020 has been a great year for William Wordsworth fans, especially those likely to travel to his historical sites.
His descendants (including a great-great-great-great grandson) have donated a number of Wordsworth items to Rydal Mount, the family home that’s now a museum, reports the Guardian.
Among the bounty: two never-before-displayed portraits, the family Bible, and one of Wordsworth’s walking sticks.
The gifts come in the same year that Dove Cottage, where the poet and his sister spent many years, will reopen after renovations; the opening will coincide with Wordsworth’s 250th birthday.
