Read the first excerpt from Hilary Mantel’s last Cromwell book

The Guardian has shared an exclusive preview of the upcoming The Mirror & The Light, the final installation of Hilary Mantel’s hit trilogy about Thomas Cromwell.

The book comes out March 5, 2020, in the United Kingdom but not until March 10, 2020, on the other side of the pond.

Mantel's first two installments, Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies, each won the Booker Prize and have sold hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide.
