If you’ve ever dreamed of sharing a typewriter with a famous author, today may be your lucky day. (As long as you're financially comfortable, that is.)

Typewriters belonging to Jack Kerouac and Ernest Hemingway are among the items up for auction today through University Archives.

In fact, the Hemingway machine is doubly blessed — writer A.E. Hotchner has owned it since 1960, when Hemingway returned it to him.

Other literary memorabilia includes a portrait of F. Scott Fitzgerald signed by the author and some of Kerouac’s photos and letters.
