Many of us are turning to comfort reads right now, and we’re willing to bet that Jane Austen falls into that category for a fair share of readers.

Natalie Jenner, author of the just-released novel The Jane Austen Society, thinks so, too — partly because she's one of those people.

She recently chatted with Shelf Awareness about why Austen has endured for these past two hundred years as well as the roots of her own love for Austen.

The Jane Austen Society is a fictionalized account of the people who banded together, after the horrors of World War II, to save the house Jane Austen last lived in from developers.
