When we talk about weird books in general conversation, we typically mean that the contents and not the format are unusual.

The Madman’s Library, a book by Edward Brooke-Hitching that's out in the UK but not the US, takes a look at books that exemplify the word “weird” in a wide variety of ways.

And, boy, can these books be weird, from using material from the human body to weighing literal tons.
