The Hollywood Reporter: Harry Potter show is in the works

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that HBO Max is developing a Harry Potter live-action TV series.

The streaming service and Warner Bros. deny this, however, and these sources say the project is in the extremely early stages, so there’s not much else to report beyond the search for writers and pitches.

The eight Harry Potter movies brought in more than $7 billion worldwide for Warner Bros., according to The Hollywood Reporter, and that doesn’t count the Fantastic Beast prequel series.
