We’re finding ourselves transported to our elementary school library constantly these days.

The latest literary news to whisk us back in time? Netflix’s purchase of the rights to the entire Redwall series.

(How many times did we wait in line to check out our books and gaze at the display of Catherine, Called Birdy and Redwall … sigh.)

Deadline reports that Netflix is planning to create both an animated feature film and a TV series based on the Brian Jacques novels.

The TV show, it seems, will be based on the character of Martin the Warrior.

The movie, meanwhile, already has a writer hard at work on the script; learn about him and assess his credentials at Deadline.
