Alan Moore may have retired from comics, but he certainly hasn’t laid down his pen.

The Guardian had the privilege of breaking the news that the author of graphic novels Watchmen and V for Vendetta has signed a deal for a short-story collection and a quintet of fantasy stories.

Illuminations, the short-story collection, is expected out in autumn 2022, and Long London, the quintet, will launch in 2024, according to the Guardian.

This isn’t Moore’s first foray into image-less fiction; he published a thousand-plus-page novel, Jerusalem, in 2016.
