If you’ve heard it exists and can’t find it, you should probably just go straight to Yale’s Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library.

The latest item to be uncovered there? A letter from Tennessee Williams to Eugene O’Neill, in which the former raves about the latter’s newest play, The Iceman Cometh.

According to an article written by the professor who found the letter, O’Neill was not in the best of spirits around this time, so the praise was surely welcomed — and, based on his note on the page, it was also answered.

You can see the actual letter from Williams to O'Neill on the website of the University of Kentucky (where letter finder Herman Daniel Farrell III works).
