Love and literature: Do you have to like the same books?

One of the cliches about love and romance is that opposites attract.

But when the contrasting characteristic is their literary taste (or interest in books, period)? The jury seems to be out on that.

The Guardian reports that dating apps have, in the past few years, seen an increase in the desirability of readers.

That said, some of these readers, upon learning what their potential love interests prefer to read, are tossing their suitors to the curb.
