We have the results from the Sylvia Plath auction earlier this month, and they’re a little surprising.

Literary Hub reports that the star item from the July 9 auction ended up being the tarot deck that Ted Hughes gave to Plath for her birthday.

It went for $206,886 — far more than the Plath-Hughes wedding bands; they sold for nearly $38,000.

The fifty items, which were put up for sale by the poets’ daughter Frieda Hughes, brought in over $1 million, says Lit Hub.
