Hillary Clinton and Louise Penny have welcomed a third big name to their bookish collaboration: actress Joan Allen.
Allen will narrate the audiobook version of their political thriller, State of Terror, which comes out October 12.
She described the novel about a novice secretary of state confronted with a rush of terror attacks as a “heart-pounding ride,” reports the Associated Press.
Allen’s previous creative efforts include political roles: Pat Nixon in Nixon and CIA deputy director Pamela Landy in The Bourne Conspiracy and The Bourne Ultimatum.
Penny is the author of the bestselling Armand Gamache novels; Clinton has previously published two memoirs and has also co-written books for younger readers with her daughter, Chelsea.
