The next owner of 75½ Bedford St. in New York City will have many reasons to boast about their house.

First, it's being listed for almost $5 million.

Second, at just 9.5 feet wide, it’s the city’s narrowest house.

And finally, it was home to poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, anthropologist Margaret Mead, and children’s author Ann McGovern.

The latter even wrote a book about the townhouse: Mr. Skinner’s Skinny House.

Of course, you’ll need $4.9 million in order to purchase the Greenwich Village residence.

Most of us will have to content ourselves with browsing the Realtor.com listing or watching a video tour of it.
