Though it’s too late to bid, this literary-themed auction is worth sharing.

Four hundred items of clothing and accessories that belonged to author Gabriel García Márquez and his wife, Mercedes Barcha, went up for sale yesterday.

But the purpose wasn’t to line their heirs’ pockets; it was to raise money for a charity that helps indigenous children in Mexico.
